I’m a big fan of chowders in general.
Coming to a city near the ocean, I was always on the hunt for good seafood. I actually made plans to visit a oyster shop with Shirley, but the line was about 50 people, and I have just one rule for eating out: I don’t wait (excessively), certainly not when I’m with someone.
So to Boudin we went.
Shirley had recommended this place, and the selling point of this place is the clam chowder. The chowder itself is really good, but what takes the cake is the fact that it’s served in a very, very good sourdough bread. I had often tried to make chowder myself, but it’s too much work for just myself.
Sometimes you’re out for one thing but you find another. I didn’t get to try my oyster, but I got really good chowder. I didn’t get many good shots of people on the street, but I got a beautiful shot of Shirley.
It is a chain store, so it’s widely available all across San Francisco.
10/10 would stuffamaface again.
